Paint 3D Not Working Issue

Paint 3D is a creative tool of Microsoft which is available for all windows. It allows you to create 2D and 3D arts easily. If you are a newbie and face common issues such as the app doesn’t open, freezes while using, or crashes unexpectedly. Don’t worry I will share a simple step by step to fix all these errors of paint 3D, I also give prevention tips. Lets deep dive and read all about the issues. Issue 1: Why Does Paint 3D Crash?

Problem:

This is a common error in the app because when we open it, it crashes immediately or a message appears on the screen.
For Example:”Paint 3D has stopped working” 

Reasons:

Corrupted installation files.

Outdated Windows or missing updates.

Conflicts with antivirus or other software.

Solution:

First make sure, your window is updated or not.

Reset the app:
Settings → Apps → Paint 3D → Advanced Options → Reset.

If you still face the problem uninstall the app and restart PC > Disable antivirus temporarily and Install again.

Issue 2: Why Freezing While Working?

Problem:

1 – Sometimes the paint 3d app stops working while editing or right opening it.
2 – The mouse and keyboard stop working and the app does not respond.

Reasons:

Edit Large file or 3D model. 
Many Background programs running at one time.

Low RAM or older PC.

Solution:

If paint 3D app freeze while working the you need to Close background apps:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc → Task Manager.

After this opens again, check this issue, if it still stops while working then, close all tabs and restart the PC.

Issue 3: Performance Issues

Problem:

Paint 3D work slow and brush or tools delays.

Reasons::

Graphics driver not updated.
RAM or CPU usage is high..
Paint 3D outdated version.

Solution:

Sometimes the app works slow like brushes or tools not selecting and face lagging issues in High-poly models then you need to Update graphics driver (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel).

Then Install updated or Latest version of Paint 3D app.

You may also close unwanted background apps while working.

Issue 4: Projects Deleted / Lost

Problem:

Not save projects or delete suddenly.

Reasons:

Suddenly shutdown or crash the system.
Wrong save location.
App data is corrupt.

Solution:

When the PC is off suddenly then the project file will crash. You need to save projects frequently. (Ctrl + S)

Second set save location Desktop, Documents or Onedrive, and must create a backup file of your important projects.

Prevention Tips

  • Keep Window Updated: Always install the latest window or update drivers to avoid any kind of errors.
  • Save Project Frequently: Always press Ctrl + S after every few minutes to save the project, so you don’t lose the project while crashing.
  • Graphics: If the system is low then must set “Performance Mode” this is very helpful for stop freezing or lagging.
  • Close Background Apps: Background apps running consume RAM speed so must close all unwanted apps.
  • Avoid Large 3D File: If your system is slow or not compatible for a 3D app then you should avoid working on large 3D files, first increase RAM then work on large 3D projects.
